OVERCOME YOUR DOUBT

* Sometimes in life, when you look at your situation, you can become discouraged and fall into self pity; you may even feel like giving up on life itself. As a Christian, when you are faced with a situation that stand opposed to your faith, for example, prolonged uncomfortable situations, including sickness, poverty, hardship and the like, your faith may be challenged in a new way. What one has not experienced before in one’s life cropping up will generate anxiety, worry, panicand doubt in one’s faith. One of satan's tactics is to get you to doubt God's goodness. He tries to get you to forget all God has given you and to focus on what you do not have. If you are spending much time thinking about what you do not have, you may be slipping into unhealthy doubt. God does not mind doubt as long as you are seeking answers from Him in the midst of it (doubt). “And when John had heard in prison about the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples and said to Him, ‘Are You the Coming One, or do we look for another?’ ” (Matthew 11:2-3). Many people in the Bible whom we consider to be pillars of faith had moments of doubt. Doubt can become sin if it leads you away from God to skepticism to cynicism then to hardheartedness. Never doubt God's desire or ability to help you. As you move closer to God, you will find the strength to trust Him and your faith will grow even stronger. Once in a while, create time to reflect over God's track record in your life. That will grow confidence in you that He will work in your present situation as well.
