THE QUEST TO ANSWER THE QUESTION WHY

SUMMARY

* Consequence is the outcome is constantly doing something in a particular way.

* Everything comes at a price.  Changes comes at a cost.

* It's time for change but the question is: DO YOU REALLY WANT THE CHANGE?

* Transformation comes by obedience to instructions.

 * Every instruction you miss makes you stay longer at a particular place.

* You will never arrive at the destination if your greatness, until you stop making accommodation for your weakness.

* Anything that makes you accommodate weakness, will delay you in destiny.

* Don't accommodate your weakness, eliminate every excuse that accommodates it.

 WHAT IS A QUEST

1.A quest is on an instance of seeking something missing.

2.A quest is a long and difficult effort to find something.

WHY ARE YOU ON A QUEST

1.There are treasures to be recovered.

2.You are in search of a throne (like Saul)

3.There are missing thrones and glory in your family that needs to be restored and recovered.

 STEPS TO RECOVERY

1.Obedience

* The way to transformation and total recovery is obedience to instructions.

* Follow instructions to find what is missing.

2.Identify what is missing

* Spot out what has been lost and needs to be recovered.

3.Insist until your victory comes.

(Acts 12:10, Ps.24:9)

HINDRANCES TO RECOVERY OF YOUR POSSESSIONS

1.Ignorance (I don't know)

2.Procrastination ( I will do it next time/ It will happen tomorrow)

3.Indolence ( What is there, I don't care)

 PRAYER INTENTIONS

1.Father in the name of Jesus, whatever was missing in my life today, it has been found, let the puzzle be complete.

2.Father in the name of Jesus, everything that the devil stole from my lineage, today I begin the journey to take it back.

3.In the name of Jesus, I am the recovery generation, I bring recovery to my family.

4.Every mystery that represents the glory and honour of my family, Let it be restored.

5.In the name of Jesus, I will not hand over battles to my children, it ends with me.

6.Every ancient gate that kept the inheritance of my family,  give it up in the name of Jesus (Ps. 24:9)

7.Today I come in the volume of my book to take back that which was the possession,  inheritance, and  glory of my family, every gate that has held it bound, give it up now in the name of Jesus.

8.(Job.20:15) Every riches & inheritance of my father's house that has been swallowed, Let them be vomited up in the name of Jesus.

9.I repent of every sinful act on my behalf and my family, that has brought the lost of my glory in the name of Jesus.

DIGGING OUT TREASURE

Wisdom of digging out your treasure is like a
man who had two children and this man was
very rich but the children were lazy and
wayward. They couldn't do anything
successfully, and when the time came for this
rich man to rest in the Lord, the man sold all his
property and bought a land and called his
children, showed them the land which he
bought, also told them that all his treasures are
buried in the land they should dig it out for
their colourful living.
These boys were happy, thinking they will see
gold and silver immediately they dig the
ground. After their father had died and was
buried. They went to the fallow ground by
themselves to clear the bush · and dig the
ground in search of treasure, but to no avail.
They thought of their father's action and
discovered that the man meant to destroy the
spirit of laziness and waywardness out of
them. Armed with this knowledge, they
cultivated the land and harvested gold and
silver.
Friends, you have to dig the Holy Bible and find out your treasure. Your prosperity, success, peace and marriage are there, promotion, victory and your deliverance are there. The Bible is the Manuel for your successful living.

LIVING FOREVER IS WHAT WE NEED

*Matthew 6:32-33, “For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”
Today, people seek other things and expect the Kingdom to follow. They worship the created instead of the Creator and give their time, loyalty and mind to the gift instead of the Giver. As a result of this defective worship, many have lost the place of significance in their lives. It is time for a come back to a place of significance; it is time for a return to the place which was lost – worshipping God in Spirit and in truth. This is not just about working for Jesus but being His friend because many want to work for God but just few are willing to pay the price to be His friend. To pay the price, to worship God in spirit, do not let your situation mislead you. A man may be sick in body and yet be a friend of God. A man may be poor and yet be a candidate of Heaven. A man may be in want of bread and yet be a favourite of Jesus. To be a friend of God we must embrace righteousness, which is Christ Himself. It is a matter of your character. Only your character can testify to your confession of Christ. We are called to live in the glory of God – in His love, faith, peace, patience, power, humility, self control, goodness, gentleness and fruit of the Spirit.
Worrying about tomorrow cripples your ability to think, act and exercise faith in the present. Worrying about your past sins or those who have hurt you leaves you paralyzed and unable to act love. Only love frees you in the present to respond to God and others. Possessions, money, position, fame are not bad but the love of them are bad. God wants us to have every blessing we could require or desire; it is paid for and offered freely. It is definitely God’s desire to prosper us but He first wants us to make spiritual matters a priority. Let us live for eternity and we shall secure everything available in it.

Monday

PROMISE OF VICTORY

*
When someone approaches me in a state of emotional depression and anxiety, I would know that the Word of God is not dominating their life. They discuss their battles instead of the One who is fighting for them. They discuss their warfare instead of the promise of victory. They discuss their doubts instead of their faith in God. Their focus is on their enemy instead of their Comforter. However, a man of faith – one whose heart is dominated by God’s Word – discusses the One who is fighting for him instead of his battles. He discusses the promise of victory instead of his warfare.
Consider the case of David in his encounter with Goliath in 1 Samuel 17:45-50. If David had looked at Goliath and his weaponry from the human point of view, he would have been frightened or scared to submission. However, he did not mind the war implements of Goliath or his intimidating size but rather discussed the promise of victory. Remember, even before the war started, David had begun to celebrate the promise of victory. A man of faith can say, ‘Thank You, Jesus’ even when there is nothing to be happy about on the outside – because his heart is dominated by what God says about the situation, not what the situation looks like. Many today discuss their problems instead of Jesus, the Solution Provider, thereby magnifying their problems above God. However, a man whose heart is deeply engaged with the things above discusses his faith in God instead of his doubts.

NO ALTERNATIVES

*
The situation we face as Christians does not offer us any alternative apart from faith in God.Looking or searching for an alternative, if there is any at all, is a way of postponing the evil day because we would still have to face the same situation we had tried to escape from, someday. Remember, alternatives have their own habit of disappointing one. Some do seek alternatives, however and seem to get what they want. But remember what Jesus said to His disciples, “My peace I give to you, not as the world gives…” (John 14:27).
When God gives you something, there are no strings or conditions attached. The blessing of God enriches the soul for eternity while that given by the world enriches the body temporarily. The blessing given by God is free while that given by the world is conditional - that is, there are strings attached. The blessing of the world is a fading thing and so is the life itself on which it is best owed. As the blessing is fading away, so is the life that carries it. There are no shortcuts to spiritual maturity unless earthly understanding gives way to spiritual enlightenment.

Thursday

IMPATIENCE IS COSTLY

*
Today, we are living in an impatient generation where people want instant solution without waiting for God’s appointed time. Impatience is costly; your greatest mistakes will happen because of impatience. Most businesses that fail do so because of lack of preparation and time. Jesus lived on earth for 33 years; the first 30 years were preparatory. Though He knew He had come to change the world, He waited patiently for the fullness of time. In your perseverance, you will preserve your soul (Luke 21:19).
When you read Daniel 6, you will see that the secret of Daniel’s strength was his constancy in prayer. In other words, he was constant in his faith in God. Daniel did not begin to pray when times were hard but rather continued his habitual devotion. I mean, when the goings were good, he said, “Jesus is Lord”. When the goings were tough, he said, “Jesus is Lord”. His enemies lost no time in plotting against him, so he too lost no time in committing his way to God through prayer. His consistency and faithfulness are a challenge to all Christians,

WHAT DO GOD WANT

If you were to ask yourself what you wanted, you may find your list to be endless – what you want to obtain, what you will become, what you will do, where you will live and who you will live with.
If you were to ask God what He wanted, you would find only one thing on His list.
Children of God, the main thing about Christianity is not what we do - spending all our time fasting and praying, paying our tithe, sleeping in the church. The main thing is not what position we fill –pastor, evangelist, bishop, deacon. All this is fine, but the main thing about Christianity is the relationship we maintain and the atmosphere produced by that relationship.
Isaiah 41:9-10, “I took you from the ends of the earth, from its farthest corners I called you. I said, ‘You are my servant’; I have chosen you and have not rejected you. So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.”
What God wants is you.
You have given your tithes, your offering, time you did not need. Have you given yourself to Him? What you cherish most? The time you need? The gift you wanted to hold onto?
Every purpose and passion of our heart, every act of worship must be guided and regulated by the Word of God. We must lay our souls under His influences and operations. For what God is interested in is you.

YOUR DREAMS AS A CHRISTIAN

In our spiritual walk with God, there are both good and hard times. However, no matter the situation you may be facing right now, there is something far greater than your present situation – your dream and your goals. As Christians, when things tend to go contrary to our expectation, we should remember our dream. Our dream imparts strength to endure and manage our present situation. Our dream imparts in us the spirit of mind management, material management, human management and self control. What situation are you in now? Where is your dream, as a man of faith? Remember, faith is based on the happenings of the future state, which God has prepared - an everlasting mansion. Jesus said, “I go to prepare a place for you.” (John 14:2) If He has gone to prepare a place for us, He would prepare us for it. Therefore, as a man of faith, our minds should be trained to keep quiet, even when everything else is unquiet. As a man of faith, you can be happy even when everything around you seems to suggest that there is no hope or future. You can still find occasions to rejoice in the Lord because your focus is on your destination, not your situation.

Tuesday

VALUE YOUR TIME

Life is too short to waste time on things that have no lasting significance or value. If we know that our time is limited – I mean, everyone has a beginning and an end – we should make the most of life. In other words, we should see every minute as important and make use of every opportunity that comes our way. Life never completely closes the door to opportunity. The only way out is to put our trust in Christ, knowing that only He can give lasting value to our lives. God alone can deliver us from a life of meaningless activities. As the Psalmist says, ‘What else doI want in Heaven but God? Since I have God, what else do I want on earth? My mind and body may grow weak but God is my strength; He is all I need’ (Psalm 73:25-26). When your trust for the Lord is born of faith, He is able to guarantee and willing to provide for your future security, because He is loving. Thus, as we look ahead to a new day, we can say with the Psalmist, ‘My hope is in You.’

Monday

BE A SHINING LIGHT

Luke 11:35-37 – “Therefore take heed that the light which is in you is not darkness. If then your whole body is full of light, having no part dark, the whole body will be full of light, as when the bright shining of a lamp gives you light.” We live in a world where many things have an opposite - front and back, good and bad, black and white. Just as there are two sides to a coin, light is the opposite of darkness. Darkness stands for the world of falsehood and light stands for the world of truth. Darkness could be sickness, failure, poverty, anything that is the cause of your worry and anxiety in your life. But we are not here to get used to the dark; we are here to be a shining light. When you accept Jesus – the way, the truth and the life – you accept light. Those who by sin were darkness, by the grace of God Almighty became light in the Lord. always Prayer: Let there be light me.

Sunday

YOU CAN STILL BE CLEANSED

Each time we sin, we come short of God’s grace. When we come short of His grace, our strength and everything that makes meaning in us is gone. David must have felt very dirty when he realized he had sinned. Sin is the bitter root of sorrow. When it is taken away, we can pray in faith. Whether your sin is great or small, you can still be cleansed. Say to God, “Dirty as I am – You can still cleanse me”. Psalm 51:10 - Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.

Friday

JOY THAT CAN NOT BE DESTROY

The world may have happiness they find in their environment but joy is something only believers have. Joy is a fruit of faith. We need no more to make us happy than to have the Lord Jesus with our spirits. Money cannot buy happiness. Your hands may be full of money and your brain full of information but if your heart is empty, your life is very empty. To be with Jesus Christ forever is the sum of all happiness. That is why believers can be happy amidst poverty, pain and threats of life – because to know the Saviour brings great joy, the kind of joy that nothing can destroy! Therefore, do not turn away from God when in difficulty; you simply cannot afford to. Whether difficulty or not – stay true to Him, because He is a faithful God. He has revealed Himself as a God of love, wisdom, mercy and understanding (Isaiah 11:2) Well did the Psalmist say, “What else do I want in heaven but God? Since I have God, what else do I want on earth? My mind and my body may grow weak – but God is my strength, He all I need!” If you turn to God once, He will turn to you a million times.
